Post two. We are on a roll now. I am all caught up on my hiking journal/blog. Mr. Taleteller, or as I not so secretly call him, the human tether was thinking about running a week late on all the hikes. Mrs. Taleteller set him straight on that one.
Anyway, last Saturday brought us to Starved Rock State Park. The nice part about this park is that there are many trails to hike. Illinois Canyon is a great trail for beginner pups interested in hiking, especially if you are starting from the remote trail head parking. The trail has a little of everything. Great views, wonderful overhangs, water crossings and waterfalls. Plus, the trail is relatively flat from this parking area. If you were to start from the lodge and vistors center you will have some stairs along the way and an added four miles to your hike.

Anyroo, as the greyhounds say, with my now two posts you have now seen just a few of the fourteen miles in Starved Rock State Park and two of the eighteen canyons, in winter time. Enjoy the rest of the pics.
